AFTERPAY AUSTRALIAN FASHION WEEK 2021 (AAFW)

After last year's cancellation, due to the pandemic, Australia’s most loved fashion designers were back on the runway.... for Australian Fashion Week 2021.
We had the privilege to attend Afterpay Australian Fashion Week 2021 Resort '22 Collections at Carriageworks in Sydney, to preview all the amazing looks from well known and emerging designers for the coming season.
This year we saw a focus on sustainability and diversity, with fashion designers creating genderless garments, showcasing models of all ethnicities, sexuality and sizes gracing the runway.
We also saw First Nations designers, making history with the first runway show featuring only First Nations talent. From models to back of house, front of house and performers.
We were moved to tears and honoured to pay our respect, with a standing ovation.... this first ever seen at Fashion Week!
