MAKE ME UP

Makeup either does one of two things to most people. It either 1. Excites them and ignites their creative juices or 2. It confuses them and they become indifferent to the concept.

I fall into the first group of people; the ones that get excited by makeup and overspend on it. Today makeup has become a multi billion dollar industry that, like fashion, has pushed a lot of boundaries and challenged the gender stereotypes of who can wear makeup.

Makeup is gender less, It’s a tool that is used to help people express themselves creatively and can also help people with their confidence.

For my makeup blogs with SBJ, I will showcase some of my favourite products, looks and makeup trends that are happening around the world.

Here is one of the most important lessons I’ve learnt about make up. Do your research. The market is saturated by so many brands and so many products, that you want to find makeup that suits your skin and resonates with your value.

For example, I only buy makeup that is cruelty free, vegan and products that have less fragrance to them, because the fragrance normally contain alcohols that irritate my skin.

In future posts, I will explore the world of makeup for, our beautiful readers and hopefully inspire you guys to experiment make up.* Images sourced by Jeffree Star Cosmetics.
